In this project, the landscape served as a touchstone for the design.  A New York couple, by way of Scotland and the UK, sought to infuse their 153-year-old home with a sense of heritage and timelessness. To establish a cohesive design theme throughout the residence, we painted the wide plank floors on the ground level a rich, deep green, setting a warm and inviting tone. Upstairs, a palette of soft, muted colors complemented by deeper shades was carefully chosen to create a harmonious atmosphere. The curated selection of vintage textiles, 19th-century antiques, and cherished family heirlooms played a pivotal role in shaping the character of the space, resulting in a comfortably layered environment that seamlessly blends the old with the new.
